These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Cedar Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. Please read them carefully. By ticking “I agree” at sign-up, creating an account, or using BibleToday, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who we are
BibleToday (“BibleToday”, the “Service”) is a Bible-study platform published at bibletoday.in. It is owned and operated by Cedar Information Technology Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated under the laws of India (CIN: U72200TG2013PTC089376; GSTIN: 36AAFCC4467P2Z1) (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms form an agreement between you (“you”, “user”) and the Company.
2. Acceptance & electronic record
This document is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and does not require any physical or digital signature. By ticking the acceptance box presented at sign-up, by creating an account, or by accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which are incorporated here by reference. If you use the Service on behalf of a group, church, or organisation, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. Eligibility
You may use BibleToday only if you can form a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you are under 18 years of age, you may use the Service only under the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and accepts responsibility for your use. Church leaders who invite minors into a reading group are responsible for obtaining that consent. We may refuse, suspend, or withdraw access at our discretion where permitted by law.
4. Your account
- Keep your login credentials secure and confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Provide accurate, current information, including a username that is not misleading or impersonating.
- One person per account; do not share, sell, or transfer your account without our written consent.
- Notify us promptly at contact@bibletoday.in if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account that results from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
5. The Service & changes to it
We are continually improving BibleToday. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any feature, or impose or change limits, at any time, with or without notice, and we will not be liable to you or any third party for doing so. Some features are, or may become, paid (see Section 13).
6. Reading groups & group chat
BibleToday lets members create and join reading groups, invite others by username, share a schedule and meeting link, and chat. Group chat is a shared space. Please note:
- Group chat is NOT end-to-end encrypted. Messages are stored on our systems. Group admins can read and delete messages in their group, and we can access content when needed to operate the Service, resolve reports, or comply with law. Do not post anything you would not want an admin or our team to see.
- A group creator is its leader and may appoint admins. Admins can manage membership, approve join requests, remove members, delete messages, and (for the leader) delete the group. Deleting a group permanently removes its members, invites, and messages.
- Messages are limited in length and rate-limited to prevent flooding. Do not attempt to bypass these limits or automate posting.
- You are solely responsible for what you post. Content you share may be seen by other group members, and we are not responsible for the conduct of, or content shared by, other users.
7. AI features and their limits
BibleToday includes AI-assisted features (for example, the “Ask” question-and-answer tool), which use automated language models to generate responses. AI can make mistakes. Answers may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or may misunderstand your question, and can occasionally produce content that is unintended or that some readers find objectionable or hurtful to their sentiments. Always verify important information. Treat AI answers as a study aid only — not as authoritative teaching, and not as professional theological, legal, medical, financial, or other advice.
Our AI is designed to help with Scripture, faith, and life seen through the Bible, to respect people of all faiths, and to comply with the laws of India — it is instructed to decline to disparage or to compare other religions. Even so, automated systems are imperfect. AI outputs reflect patterns in the underlying model and your prompts; they are not the considered position of the Company, BibleToday, or any church, and must not be attributed to us as our statement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you use AI features at your own discretion and risk, and you agree not to hold us liable for any AI output. If an AI answer seems wrong, harmful, or offensive, please tell us at contact@bibletoday.in so we can improve our guardrails.
8. Religious content & assumption of risk
BibleToday publishes Christian Bible-study content — explanations, reflections, applications, and related material — that expresses a particular faith tradition. This content is offered as good-faith religious teaching and study, is protected expression under Article 25 of the Constitution of India, and is not intended to demean, disparage, insult, or outrage the religious feelings of any person or community. Views expressed are matters of religious interpretation and belief, not statements of fact about any other religion.
By using the Service you acknowledge that it contains religious content, and you accept it voluntarily and at your own discretion. If you consider such content unwelcome or likely to offend you, your sole and exclusive remedy is to stop using the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree not to hold the Company liable for any offence, distress, or hurt to sentiments arising from the religious or AI-generated content of the Service.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use BibleToday — and not to post, share, or transmit any content that — does any of the following:
- is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, hateful, harassing, or threatening;
- is grossly offensive, or promotes or incites enmity, hatred, or disharmony between religions, races, castes, communities, or groups, or insults any religion or religious beliefs;
- incites violence, or promotes discrimination or harm against any person or group;
- infringes anyone’s intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- is knowingly false or misleading, or impersonates any person or organisation;
- harms minors in any way, or exploits or endangers them;
- contains software viruses or code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to any system or data;
- spams, solicits, or advertises without permission, or harvests or scrapes others’ data;
- attempts to reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the Service, its security, or its rate limits;
- violates any applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules under it.
We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that we reasonably believe breach these Terms — with or without notice where the law or safety requires. We may also disclose information to law-enforcement or other authorities where required by law.
10. Your content & licence to us
You retain ownership of the content you create (such as notes and messages). You are solely responsible for your content and represent that you have all rights necessary to post it and that it does not breach these Terms or any law. By posting content in a group or on the Service, you grant the Company and, where relevant, your fellow group members a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate, provide, secure, and improve the Service. Any feedback or suggestions you send us may be used by us without any obligation to you.
11. Reporting content (grievance officer)
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, our Grievance Officer is Pankaj Bhagat, for Cedar Information Technology Pvt. Ltd.. If you find content on BibleToday that breaches these Terms or your rights, contact us at contact@bibletoday.in. Please include your name, what the content is, where you saw it, and why you are reporting it. We will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and endeavour to resolve them within 15 days. This is also our contact for questions about these Terms.
12. Intellectual property
BibleToday’s name, logo, software, design, and study material (explanations, visualizations, life-application content, quizzes) are owned by the Company or its licensors and are protected by law; see Sources & Attribution for the Scripture texts we use and their licences. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal study and within your church group. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, frame, scrape, or create derivative works from our content at scale, or use it to train any machine-learning model, without our prior written permission.
13. Paid plans, billing & AI credits
Some features require a paid subscription. Where they do, the price, what is included, and the usage limits (monthly and weekly AI “credits”) are shown before you pay. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed by Razorpay; applicable taxes may be added at checkout. AI credits are consumed as you use the Service and do not carry over between periods. You can cancel anytime from your account — access continues until the end of the paid period, then your account moves to the Free plan. Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
14. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers — including cloud hosting and database services, AI model providers, authentication providers, and the Razorpay payment gateway — and may link to third-party sites (such as meeting links you or a group set). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their privacy and security practices; your use of them is governed by their own terms. The processors we use are listed in our Privacy Policy.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties or representations of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be secure, available at any particular time, free of viruses or harmful components, or that any content (including AI output and study material) is accurate, complete, reliable, or current. Any material you access is at your own discretion and risk.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company, its directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or reputation, or for any mental anguish, offence, or hurt to sentiments, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service or any content, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company’s total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 1,000 (Indian Rupees One Thousand). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your content; (b) your use or misuse of the Service; (c) your breach of these Terms or of any law; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.
18. Suspension & termination
You may stop using BibleToday and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access, or remove content, immediately and without liability, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including Sections 7–8 and 10–20) will continue to apply.
19. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics or pandemics, war, civil unrest, government action, changes in law, strikes, failures of the internet, telecommunications, hosting, payment, or other third-party services, or power outages.
20. Governing law, dispute resolution & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in relation to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by writing to our Grievance Officer. If not resolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed by the Company, conducted in English in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996; the seat and venue of arbitration shall be Hyderabad, Telangana, India, and the award shall be final and binding. Subject to the arbitration clause, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter arising from these Terms.
21. General
- Severability — if any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest will remain in full force, and the invalid provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law.

22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves or the law changes. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use BibleToday after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
23. Grievance & contact
